I had no problem with my daughter going to see Justin Beiber. As a matter of fact, I would have gladly gotten her tickets. This was impossible. The point was that the tickets were unavailable. She was determined to go, ticket or no ticket.

Her determination and her belief is what allowed her to see Justin Beiber. Nothing more. nothing less. And she taught me a lesson.

While this may or may not be an indication of a law of attraction, I think kids need boundaries. To allow a kid to demand over and over again to go to a concert I think risks raising a bossy and undisciplined child, to put it bluntly. I think it’s rude to tell an adult, “I don’t care what you say, I’m going.” And I disagree that not seeing a Justin Bieber concert is truly “painful” in the context of what many kids go through in this world. Telling her no should have been the end of it in my view. It worked…but who is in control here, she or you?
