Seeking Your Own Spiritual Identity

Within You is the Power, by Henry Thomas Hamblin sends a very powerful message. Hamblin explains that you need look no further than yourself to discover incredible power and riches.

You control your destiny and your own fate. You are the driving force that makes things happen.

But first you must discover your own spiritual identity.

One who realizes his own real spiritual identity, knows that he can
never die, that he can never be defeated, that he can never really
fail.

He may lose his body through the change that is called death;
but he, the true man, can never die. Neither can he fail, though he
be defeated a thousand times–he must rise again.

Only have faith in the Spiritual Power within you and you can know
all the joys of overcoming and achievement.

All things will become yours. Seek first the Kingdom within you (your spiritual union with
the Infinite, and harmony with the Divine Will and Purpose) and all
these things shall be added unto you. You will have no need to fear
the morrow, for you will know that all provision has already been
made.

There will be no need to hoard up wealth, for there will be
the necessary daily supplies always available. There will be no need
to live near a doctor, for God, the Infinite Life, shall be your
health. There will be no need for regret or lamentation, for you shall
know that all is well.

There will be no fear of future happenings,
for you shall realize that the Infinite One makes no mistakes.

Hamblin’s book is simply full of these golden nuggets.

More As A Man Thinketh from James Allen

Here is more from James Allen, As A Man Thinketh.

The power of this book lies not so much in the reading of the words. The power lies in the repition of the words. I think As A Man Thinketh, needs to be read an re-read numerous times.

There is wisdom and magic here, but you will not find it by casual reading. The words need to permeate your inner self to be really effective. I have discovered much in this book. I know you will as well.

“MAN’S mind may be likened to a garden, which may be intelligently
cultivated or allowed to run wild; but whether cultivated or
neglected, it must, and will, _bring forth._ If no useful seeds are
_put _into it, then an abundance of useless weed-seeds will _fall
_therein, and will continue to produce their kind.

Thought and character are one, and as character can only manifest
and discover itself through environment and circumstance, the outer
conditions of a person’s life will always be found to be
harmoniously related to his inner state. This does not mean that a
man’s circumstances at any given time are an indication of his
_entire _character, but that those circumstances are so intimately
connected with some vital thought-element within himself that, for
the time being, they are indispensable to his development.

Every man is where he is by the law of his being; the thoughts which
he has built into his character have brought him there, and in the
arrangement of his life there is no element of chance, but all is
the result of a law which cannot err. This is just as true of those
who feel “out of harmony” with their surroundings as of those who
are contented with them.

As a progressive and evolving being, man is where he is that he may
learn that he may grow; and as he learns the spiritual lesson which
any circumstance contains for him, it passes away and gives place to
other circumstances.

Man is buffeted by circumstances so long as he believes himself to
be the creature of outside conditions, but when he realizes that he
is a creative power, and that he may command the hidden soil and
seeds of his being out of which circumstances grow, he then becomes
the rightful master of himself.

That circumstances grow out of thought every man knows who has for
any length of time practised self-control and self-purification, for
he will have noticed that the alteration in his circumstances has
been in exact ratio with his altered mental condition. So true is
this that when a man earnestly applies himself to remedy the defects
in his character, and makes swift and marked progress, he passes
rapidly through a succession of vicissitudes.

The soul attracts that which it secretly harbours; that which it
loves, and also that which it fears; it reaches the height of its
cherished aspirations; it falls to the level of its unchastened
desires,–and circumstances are the means by which the soul receives
its own.

Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind, and to
take root there, produces its own, blossoming sooner or later into
act, and bearing its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstance.
Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit.”\

The Science of Being Great by Wallace Wattles

Wallace Wattles was in touch with a higher consciousness. His words speak truth. He was enlightened.

Here is what he says about being great.

“There is a Principle of Power in every person.

By the intelligent use and direction of this principle, man can develop his own mental faculties. Man has an inherent power by which he may grow in whatsoever direction he pleases, and there does not appear to be any limit to the possibilities of his growth.

No man has yet become so great in any faculty but that it is possible for some one else to become greater. The possibility is in the Original Substance from which man is made. Genius is Omniscience flowing into man.

Genius is more than talent. Talent may merely be one faculty developed out of proportion to other faculties, but genius is the union of man and God in the acts of the soul.

Great men are always greater than their deeds. They are in connection with a reserve of power that is without limit. We do not know where the boundary of the mental powers of man is; we do not even know that there is a boundary.

The power of conscious growth is not given to the lower animals; it is mans alone and may be developed and increased by him. The lower animals can, to a great extent, be trained and developed by man; but man can train and develop himself. He alone has this power, and he has it to an apparently unlimited extent.

The purpose of life for man is growth, just as the purpose of life for trees and plants is growth. Trees and plants grow automatically and along fixed lines; man can grow, as he will.

Trees and plants can only develop certain possibilities and characteristics; man can develop any power, which is or has been shown by any person, anywhere. Nothing that is possible in spirit is impossible in flesh and blood. Nothing that man can think is impossible-in action. Nothing that man can imagine is impossible of realization.

Man is formed for growth, and he is under the necessity of growing.
It is essential to his happiness that he should continuously advance.”

albert
